Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez adopted a husky cross puppy from D’Arcy’s Animal Rescue Center in Winnipeg on Friday.
A volunteer at the Canadian shelter told Hollywood Life, “Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were here this afternoon playing with the dogs and puppies for over an hour.”
The volunteer explained that the couple expressed an interest in adoption, which ultimately led to their decision to take home the puppy.
“It’s obvious that they are huge animal lovers and I am happy to see that they are both bright enough to come to an animal shelter instead of a pet store to look for a dog,” the source said. "Justin and Selena are wonderful role models!”
Gomez, 19, was in Winnipeg to perform a concert Friday night as part of her We Own the Night Tour. The Wizards of Waverly Place actress and her singing heartthrob boyfriend Bieber, 17, who just finished his own tour, seem to be enjoying their time together.
On Thursday evening, according to the Winnipeg Free Press, the lovebirds rented out an entire theater at SilverCity Polo Park Cinemas to have a private screening of Real Steel and even had pizza delivered to the theater.
