Justin Bieber claims he has his own 'Dr. Phil' kind of person in his life--his good friend and mentor, Usher. During a recent interview on The Kyle and Jackie O Show, the Biebs said Usher serves as his very own personal relationship expert.
According to Hollywood Life, Justin actually referred to Usher as his very own 'Dr. Phil.'
"[We talk about] relationships and how to cope with where I am in the world," Justin said about Usher. "He's been a great mentor to me. He's my Dr. Phil."
Since Usher fully understands the day-in and day-out life of a teen superstar, he is the perfect friend and mentor for Justin Bieber. He fully comprehends the stress, the demands of business and the need to maintain a healthy personal life--all at the same time.
Usher, now 33 years old, is said to be a wonderful friend to Justin Bieber, and he has stayed on top of Justin's career since its inception. How fortunate is Justin to have someone like him to help him decipher the entire plethora of life's demands?
It would certainly be fun to be a fly on the wall and listen to Usher coaching Justin Bieber about his career, but it would probably be even more fun to listen to him giving Justin relationship advice about his girlfriend Selena Gomez.
Do you think Usher is an appropriate role model for Justin Bieber? Is he the kind of friend that will steer him in the right direction even if Justin ever seems headstrong in wanting to go the opposite way?
We all could use our own personal 'Dr. Phil' kind of person. Do you have one?
