A united front: Kim Kardashian joins Khloe and Kris at the basketball as family shrug off OJ Simpson paternity rumours

Almost every member of the family has been embroiled in one controversy or another over in recent weeks.
But the Kardashian clan are focusing on what they do what they do best - rallying around together.

Kim joined her sister Khloe and her mother Kris Jenner to kick back and relax for an evening at a basketball game.

The women were joined by Robert Kardashian who also attended the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples Center.

Yesterday claims were made in the National Enquirer that Khloe’s biological father is jailed former sportsman O.J. Simpson.

But the matriarch of the Kardashian clan took to Twitter to slam the claims and thank her fans for their support.

Kardashian and Kris Jenner accused of fake heart-to-heart on TV; what’s the reality?

A source close to “Kourtney and Kim Take New York” says that weekend reports that Kim Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner, appear to have faked a heart-to-heart talk is no big surprise. The scene — in which Kardashian told her mother about her marital problems with 72-day husband, Kris Humphries — purportedly took place in Dubai prior to Kim’s October divorce filing, but media reports — and photographs — now seem to indicate that the scenes may have been shot in Los Angeles in December.

“This is what is called a pickup scene,” our source says of the allegedly stage-managed moment, adding that it’s “done all of the time.” “There was a hole in the (show’s) storyline,” says the insider, who explains that filming “a scripted scene” fixed the problem and helped fit the actual footage from Dubai together better. Adds the source: “All reality shows are staged.” Really?

Leonardo DiCaprio kept a low — but secure — profile at the Critics Choice Awards at the Hollywood Palladium on Thursday.

The “J. Edgar” star, who was nominated for Best Actor, attended the ceremony with his father, George DiCaprio, didn’t walk the red carpet and, according to a source who attended the awards seemed “to be the only celebrity who brought a bodyguard.” DiCaprio and his father sat at filmmaker Martin Scorsese’s table, and our spy says that during commercial breaks, DiCaprio’s hired muscle stood behind the actor’s chair so that intrepid gawkers couldn’t bother him.

Our source also professed surprise that after the awards show ended, DiCaprio did not head over to George Clooney’s table to congratulate him for taking Best Actor honors, unlike Brad Pitt, who hugged Clooney, despite looking a bit glum that he hadn’t won.

The Force is not with George Lucas when it comes to the animated “Star Wars: Detours” comedy series that he’s developing. Lucas told us that he’s still working with Seth Green and Matthew Senreich, who’ve produced a series of hilarious “Star Wars”-themed “Robot Chicken” specials, but he lamented, “We just can’t get anybody to put it on the air” because it doesn’t fit into a neat demographic package.

When we suggested that Lucas should just start a “Star Wars” cable channel that could be all-Jedi, all the time, he said that was exploring the possibility of offering the “Star Wars” movies and its many spinoffs on a pay-per-view basis.

Karen Elson celebrated her birthday in style on Friday night. The model-turned-British singer/songwriter and her fraternal twin sister, Kate, who both turned 33 on Saturday, were feted with a sit-down dinner at the downtown hotspot Miss Lily’s.

Braving the cold to wish the twins well were fashion designer Anna Sui, Vogue’s Grace Coddington, “Gossip Girl” actor Penn Badgley and girlfriend Zoe Kravitz, model Jenny Shimizu, “Guestofaguest” founder Rachelle MacPherson, Salman Rushdie, and Paper magazine columnist
Mickey Boardman.

Scene stealers:  Samuel L. Jackson cracked up the crowd at Sardi’s Thursday upon seeing the caricature of him that had been unveiled at the restaurant: “Who’s that supposed to be? Tiger Woods?” Angela Bassett, his co-star in “The Mountaintop,” also scored one of the coveted illustrations. ... Keira Knightley and hair stylist Ben Skervin were hanging at the bar at Crown Jan. 8. ... LeBron James and Dwyane Wade partied at Greenhouse until 3 a.m. Jan. 7 but stuck to water the night before their game against the Nets. ...

Fox News’ lonely liberal Alan Colmes told friends at Flex Mussels on W. 13th St. that he's writing a book tentatively titled “How Liberalism Will Save America” that will be published in time for the 2012 presidential election.

New Details: Kris Jenner's "Scandalous" Affair With Pro Soccer Player Todd Waterman

With all buzz about Khloe Kardashian not being a ‘real Kardashian,’ the question on everybody’s lips is who her real father is if it’s not Robert Kardashian, Sr.

Well, Star knows one man Kris Jenner was involved with who definitely didn’t father Khloe. The website states that, in her tell-all memoir Kris Jenner and All Things Kardashian, the momager extraordinaire reveals the identity of a man she had an affair with behind Robert’s back. His name was Todd Waterman, and the duo started hooking up in 1989 – when Khloe was already 5-years-old.

Still, the affair is an pretty salacious story: "It was scandalous," confessed Todd, who is now a animated film director at Disney and Columbia Pictures. "We dated for a year and a half. I was playing pro soccer and I was training with a team, L.A. Heat, for a now defunct league. That’s how we met."

Kris details the wild affair vividly in her book: "I would tell Robert I was going out to lunch and I would end up at Ryan’s apartment having crazy, fabulous sex for hours in the middle of the day. I would drop Kourtney, Kimberly, and Khloe off at school and rush straight to [him],” she writes.

Hot or not, the revealing of Kris’ secret lover doesn’t exactly squelch Khloe’s paternity scandal. Guess somebody will have to keep digging into Kris Jenner’s past. Not it!

Kim Kardashian remains cryptic when pressed on WHY she dumped Kris in first TV interview since split

Kim Kardashian has her filter turned on - and still isn't letting much slip about her ill-fated marriage to Kris Humphries.
During her first television interview since announcing her split on Monday, Kim would only give 'intuition' as the reason why she broke things off with her 26-year-old husband.

Asked by Sunrise breakfast hosts David Koch and Melissa Doyle on Thursday morning whether she fought to save the marriage, Kim responded: 'I think when you know so deep in your heart that you just to listen to your intuition and follow your heart, there's no right or wrong thing to do.'

When pressed on whether she had considered counselling, Kim clammed up: 'I'm not ready to get into it.'
Kim had more to say on the business front, and happily plugged her new handbag launch as she was interviewed alongside protective sister Khloe.
Asked how she was coping, Kim said: 'I really wanted to stick with my commitment to come out to Australia. I love the fan base here.
'I did want some time to myself but I don't want to bale on everyone and skip out on this commitment here.

'I've got Khloe and Lamar here and we're just getting through it.'
Khloe added: 'I'm really proud of Kim for not baling. She's being really strong. Lamar and I are here to be her support.
Kim's comments in her televised interview echoed her non-committal responses when she was interviewed on Australian radio about the breakdown of her 72-day marriage.

Earlier, the 31-year-old told Australian radio host Kyle Sandilands: 'I don't think I'm ready to go into details of what went on in my marriage.'
Critics will argue that by hinting that there is more to reveal, Kim is simply trailing future episodes of her reality show.
It's already been reported that the new series of Kim and Kourtney Take New York will feature the doomed relationship heavily.

So with interest in its breakdown at a premium, it would serve Kim well not to be ready to discuss details before the November 27 premiere on E! picks up the tale.
During the interview, Kim also added weight to the argument that her announcement was carefully calculated by admitting she used her trip Down Under as an 'escape' from her troubles in Los Angeles.
It is, of course, also a business endeavour to promote the Kardashian Kollection for Sears.

But despite the mercantile nature of her visit, the sombre star repeated the mantra of denial when it came to discussing claims that her wedding to NBA player Humphries was a money-bagging sham.
The wedding generated $18 million in profit, though Kim's mother, Kris Jenner, 55 , outrageously claims that it left her daughter out of pocket.
Kim chanted to Sandilands and his 2Day host, Jackie O yesterday, in her squeaky monotone drawl that she would 'never marry for a TV show, for money, for anything like that.'
But in a moment of realisation, she acknowledged: 'It's ridiculous that I have to defend that, but I guess that's what comes along with when you film your wedding for a reality show.'

Back in the US, her mother was busy spinning the same line on the Today show.
With all the genuine warmth and conviction of a party politician, Jenner told Today host Ann Curry that the wedding 'wasn't a sham'.
She then oddly asserted that she knew about her daughter's decision to divorce 'a few days earlier' because 'Kim and I are really close'.
'It’s just our job now to wrap our arms around her through thick and thin,' she said.
Jenner, who was on the show to promote her book Kris Jenner and All Things Kardashian, continued: 'It certainly wasn’t for TV. We have enough going on on our show that we don’t have to make things up. She felt that she was in love with him. It was an amazing time … I had no idea there was a problem at the time. It saddens all of us.'

Kim's 'momager,' who released her cash in tome yesterday just hours after Kim's statement, made no reference of course, to the huge viewing numbers drawn in specifically for Kim's wedding episode, or the $15 million in TV rights alone that was garnered by the family for the special.
Kris did add: 'Kim feels that she’s let a lot of people down. She’s sick about it.'
Her daughter was certainly pulling the kind of sad faces you'd associate with a spot of post-break up nausea as she posed at her launch in Sydney.
Obviously well-instructed by her mother, Kim mugged a series of pained grimaces in a relatively sober patterned dress and black cape at Hugo's department store last night.

It was another tactic that misfired as the reality behemoth aimed for sad but looked merely sullen.
She was joined by her sister Khloe, her husband Lamar Odom and Australian X Factor judges Natalie Bassingthwaite, Mel B and her husband Stephen Belafonte.
The 36-year-old former Spice Girl was a guest at Kim's fairytale wedding in Montecitio, California on August 21, but if she was miffed about shelling out for a wedding present, it didn't show.
The mother-of-two, who gave birth to baby Madison last month, smiled warmly as she supported her friend.

She is certainly someone who could offer advice on how to weather a scandal.
Her former husband was arrested this month on a charge of battery against their 12-year-old daughter and she was embroiled in an embarrassing scandal when ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy questioned the paternity of their four-year-old daughter, Angel, while she was heavily pregnant.
Her wedding to 12-year-old Phoenix's father Jimmy Gulzar lasted for just over a year.

Kim's po-faced public appearance came just hours after she posted a statement on her official website in an attempt to stem the flow of hoax accusations.
She told fans: 'I married for love. I can’t believe I even have to defend this. I would not have spent so much time on something just for a TV show!'
'Everyone that knows me knows that I’m a hopeless romantic! I love with all of my heart and soul. I want a family and babies and a real life so badly that maybe I rushed in to something too soon.
'I believed in love and the dream of what I wanted so badly. I felt like I was on a fast roller coaster and couldn’t get off when now I know I probably should have.
'I got caught up with the hoopla and the filming of the TV show that when I probably should have ended my relationship, I didn’t know how to and didn’t want to disappoint a lot of people.'
She added: 'There are also reports that I made millions of dollars off of the wedding. These reports are simply not true and it makes me so sad to have to even clarify this.
'I’m so grateful to everyone who took the time to come to my wedding and I’ll be donating the money for all the gifts to the Dream Foundation.'
Kim is thought to be donating $200,000 to the charity.

Kim Kardashian’s Mom, Kris Jenner Believes O.J. Killed Nicole

Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian’s mother, said she believes O.J. Simpson may have actually committed the murder that her ex-husband Robert Kardashian helped him beat.

Jenner reveals her reservations about the case in her  upcoming tell-all “Kris Jenner … and All Things Kardashian,” where she writes that her friend Nicole Brown Simpson told her that O.J. was “going to kill me and he’s going to get away with it,”  Radar Online reports.

“She was a wreck,” Jenner adds about Brown Simpson. “She was convinced that someone was looking in her windows and climbing through her bushes in the middle of the night. She became convinced that the person spying on her was either O.J. or someone sent by O.J., who was obsessed with what she was doing when he wasn’t with her.
