As all true beliebers already know, Justin Bieber has abandoned his shorter spiky hairstyle in favor of his former longer bowl-like "Bieber hairflip." That no doubt pleased his fans. But now, Biebs' new hairstyle is being compared to Donald Trump's. That will please beliebers...not so much. Even more importantly, what will Selena Gomez say? Not that she has a right to say much of anything about anybody's hair since, on January 11, she Tweeted a photo of herself wearing pink and purple hair extensions. Be that as it may, seriously, what girl wants her boyfriend to resemble the Donald in any way? Eeww.
Yes, belieb it or not, fans sites are beginning to call Justin Bieber and Donald Trump 'the Hair Twins.' In fact, E! Online has referred to Justin's new 'do as the Trump Hairstyle. And in all fairness, the two very different celebrities do resemble each other from the eyebrows up. A close examination of juxtaposed photos of JB and The D, which you can see by clicking here, shows that Justin's new 'do is a trifle shorter than his original Bieber flip. His eyebrows are clearly visible, and his bangs are less a "flip" than a classic Trump-like comb over. Both Biebs and Trump comb and swirl their bangs to the left. While Justin's "flip" is "flatter," Trump's is fluffier, which is only minimally significant. They could be hair twins. So, is JB chasing Donald Trump in his hairstyle choice? Or is he following his girlfriend, Selena Gomez?
Justin Bieber has been known to seem to follow Selena Gomez before. Last summer, after her highly publicized wardrobe malfunction inadvertently exposed one of her boobs, JB put on a little show of his own—jumping in and out of a hot tub in his underwear and doing lots of gratuitous stretching and strutting while the ubiquitous paparazzi snapped happily away. Many beliebers thought he was just trying to be like Selena.
Of course, there is a third possibility. Knowing the Teen Dream's love of jokes and pranks, perhaps he's once again punk'd the world by deliberately becoming Donald Trump's "hair twin."
